PARADISE RISING returns with a new ensemble of artists on its upcoming EP and second installment to semilucent. The latest compilation to come out of the 88rising sister label, semilucent 2, showcases the emerging talent of fresh and exciting musicians not only found in the Philippines but throughout the globe. From homegrown to overseas, this 5-track EP provides genre-blending acoustics, memorable melodies and high-energy 808s that radiates youthful 'forever-like' exuberance throughout --- with stunning appearances by Vancouver Canada-based duo MANILA GREY, Philippine-native singer & instrumentalist Steven Peregrina, up-and-coming female R&B artist daze based out of Amsterdam, hip-hop powerhouse from New York CA Christian Alexander, seasoned rapper & songwriter Curtismith, and Filipino-American electronic producer standout Manila Killa with multi-talented global vocal artist Yuna. semilucent 2 aims to excite all music lovers with an ambitious and uniquely curated body of work by Filipino artists from various parts of the world.

In July 2020, 88rising launched its first sister label PARADISE RISING, dedicated to establishing and promoting Filipino artists globally and in partnership with Globe, a leading full-service telecommunication company in the Philippines. PARADISE RISING's debut release, semilucent EP, is a curated compilation album featuring the most promising Philippine acts, garnering recognition from Forbes, BusinessMirror and Billboard as the platform to highlight such talent. In 2021, PARADISE RISING continued to elevate the sounds of Filipino talent from signings of budding Oakland Rapper Guapdad 4000 with his latest album release titled 1176. In addition, the label added entertainment celebrity and vocal star Ylona Garcia and established R&B and soulful singer & songwriter Kiana V as the latest artists to join the impressive roster.
