very difficult - Pentium Txxxx CPU socket type changed so it's hard to find a compatible CPU upgrade. Same for GPU. If it didn't get up to 4GB in RAM, the best bet is to upgrade memory to 4GB (I think it uses DDR2 - which may be hard to find today - DDR3 is what today's laptops use).
One thing to consider is to replace HDD with an entry-class SSD (or SATA II ones, which are very affordable now - the laptop can't take advantage of SATA III SSDs anyway), it can boost i/o performance. Moreover, when you upgrade to another laptop later, you can reformat it and use it in newer machines.... |
