「Sade」經典靈魂樂團。尤其是女主唱－Sade Adu。
從團名取自女主唱的名字，就不難得知Sade Adu是這個四人樂團的靈魂領導人物。大部分人談到Sade，都是指這位美貌才藝出眾的女主唱。

Sade Adu於1959年出生於奈及利亞，全名是Helen Folasade Adu。四歲時隨母親返回英國與祖父母同住，後來搬到倫敦就讀聖馬丁藝術學校(Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design)。也是在這個時期，Sade加入了樂團、開始寫歌；膾炙人口的"Smooth Operator"就是這時期的作品，也因此受到了唱片公司的矚目。
1983年，Sade和Epic Records(SONY旗下的唱片公司)簽下歌手合約，帶著她的三名團員(guitarist and saxophonist Stuart Matthewman, keyboard player Andrew Hale and bassist Paul Denman)，1984年發行首支單曲－Your Love is King(英國單曲排行榜第六名)，並於同年發行首張專輯－Diamond Life(英國專輯排行榜第二名)。Sade的輝煌年代，由此拉開序幕。
