曾是80年代草根搖滾/新迷幻樂團Green on Red吉他手的Chuck Prophet，有著一手精湛的藍調吉他功力，從90年發行首張專輯《Brother Aldo》開始，Chuck Prophet一路維持將鄉村樂背後的故事滲入藍調搖滾的元素，再融合民謠緩緩道來；近來因〈You Did〉一曲被電影「陰齒人」及熱門影集「噬血情真」引用為插曲，而開始為流行聽眾所接受。
