1994年8月30日，亞瑟小子的首張專輯《Usher》發行。1997年，他的第二張個人專輯《My Way》發行。1998年，他首次參演電影《奪命高校》。2001年，發行第三張專輯《8701》。同年，他憑借專輯單曲《U Remind Me》獲得格萊美最佳R&B男歌手獎。2005年，憑借單曲《U Don't Have To Call》蟬聯格萊美最佳R&B男歌手獎。2004年3月23日，發行第四張專輯《Confessions》，發行首周打破R&B男歌手專輯單周銷售紀錄。專輯單曲《Yeah!》蟬聯公告牌單曲榜冠軍達12周。2007年，他的第五張專輯《Here I Stand》發行。2010年，首次來到中國舉行演唱會，而他的第六張專輯《Raymond Vs. Raymond》也于同年發行。2012年，發行第七張專輯《Looking 4 Myself》，同年加盟音樂選秀節目《美國之聲》擔任導師。2013年憑借專輯單曲《Climax》獲得格萊美最佳R&B男歌手。
2015年，亞瑟小子宣布與同在音樂圈的女友格蕾絲·米格爾訂婚。
