【音樂介紹】: «Preghiera di Sasso and Diapason are bands from Pescara (Abruzzo, central Italy) and always mentioned together because they were featured on the same album and had in common some of the musicians involved, both were very active in their local area.»
«Diapason played together since the late 60's, initially basing their music on foreign artists' covers (among these Zappa and Emerson Lake & Palmer), then gradually expanding towards a more creative style that gave space to improvised parts. They were the first group in Abruzzo to play single band concerts (rather than in festivals as it was common practice at the time), and also began using theatrical contents in their live acts around 1974. The band played at 1976 Pescara Jazz Festival and split in 1977.»
«Preghiera di Sasso formed around 1971. They played many of the festivals of the day and were active on the live local scene. Influenced by heavy English rock and prog instrumentals, and jazz-fusion, they ended up somewhere in the Duello Madre and Cincinnato territory as jamming, exploratory Italian jazz rock. Noted by ItalianProg.com to be the single rarest RPI vinyl release of the 70s, with only 20 promo copies pressed, Mellow rescued the work and added 6 bonus tracks from 1972. The studio material from 1975 was somewhat less adventurous but not bad. This is for the deep RPI collector or jazz-prog fan.» Source: italianprog.com
